On August 9, 2023, Yang Feng, Deputy Secretary of the Communist Party of China, Jinan Municipal Committee, met with Prof. Che Kuong Hon, Executive Chairman of the World Sports Federation and his delegation at the Longyue Building in Jinan, Shandong Province.
Secretary Yang warmly welcomed the arrival of Prof. Che Kuong Hon and his delegation, expressing thanks the General Association of World Sports Federation (GAWSF) for its trust in the Jinan Municipal Committee. Secretary Yang carefully listened to Che Kuong Hon's report on the joint education between Macau World Sports University and Qilu Poly-Technical University to promote the development of Jinan City. Secretary Yang fully affirmed Che Kuong Hon's positioning and planning for education and instructed that we should utilize Jinan's advantages to further plan core projects and brands that are sustainable, attractive, international, and compatible with the development of Jinan's international metropolis. We should promote China's spirit of dragon and horse, thus reflecting our original intention and mission.
It is reported that the joint education between World Sports University of Macau and Qilu Poly-Technical University has been brewing for a long time. Currently, the International Industry College under World Sports University established by the two universities starts from the professional field, enters the industrial model, and integrates culture through sports and education. In the next decade, the college will lead and drive the rapid development of other related disciplines and majors.
The meeting lasted about 90 minutes and was held in a friendly atmosphere. Participants in the meeting were Gao Bin, former Deputy Secretary General of the Jinan Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Xie Jinling, Deputy Secretary General of the Jinan Municipal Committee, and Kong Jie, Director of the Jinan Municipal Sports Bureau. The Macau side participated in the meeting were Ma Wencai, the Director General of the World Sports Federation, Zhang Quan, a member of the Academic and Teaching Steering Committee of the World Sports University, the Dean of the College, and doctoral supervisor and Wei Pengshen, a member of the Secretariat of the World Sports Federation.
